How to use:

Install vlc 0.6.2 (or above) from http://www.videolan.org/ on your Linux or Windows box.

 

Configure your CD or DVD drive and play back any VCD, SVCD or DVD locally. Only if this works continue with the next step. If not get support at http://www.videolan.org/support/ until this works! (Please don't flood the dbox forum with questions how to run the basic VLC)

 

Start "vlc --extraintf=http" from the command line. This will allow VLC to be controlled via a HTTP interface listening on port 8080 by default.

Test this by pointing your browser to "http://127.0.0.1:8080/". You should see a HTML user interface of VLC.

Configure Neutrino Movieplayer by going to "dbox - Settings - Movieplayer"

Configure the port to the port VLC is listening on. Default is 8080

Configure the IP address to be the IP address of the PC where VLC is running on.

Configure the DVD Drive (CD Drive) of the PC. Often this is "D:" on Windows and "/dev/cdrom" on Linux

Leave "1000" for the video rate and "192" for the audio rate. You can increase this later if you can succesfully stream DVDs or (S)VCDs. The acceptable values here are mostly dependent on the quality of your network (see "Known Bugs")

Save the settings

Start the Movieplayer from the "dbox" menu

Insert a DVD (or SVCD) into the drive of the PC

Press the yellow button to start the playback of the DVD (blue for SVCD)

After a while the DVD playback will start (if not you will see appropriate error dialogs)

You can pause/resume playback using the yellow button (see "Known Bugs")

You can stop the playback using the red button

Copy the file dboxfile.html to the http/admin directory of VLC. You can get it here

VLC needs to be restarted after copying the file!

Point your browser to "http://127.0.0.1:8080/admin/dboxfiles.html?dir=C:" (...directory=/ with Linux). Username is "admin". Password is "admin". You should see a list of directories and files. If this works continue with the next step.

Go to the Movieplayer settings and change the VLC directory to a value which contains movie files on the machine VLC is running on. (e.g. "C:Movies" or "/export/movies". You can't enter a . So enter a / instead (e.g. "C:/Movies")

 

Save the settings

Start the Movieplayer from the "dbox" menu

Press the red button and choose a file from your disk. DivX, XVid, MPEG, PS and others should work (see VLC documentation for supported formats).

der movieplayer kann einem den letzten nerv rauben...und am ende hat man groß/kleinschreibung net beachtet...

mal in deutsch

 

 

 

 

1.) Installiere VLC auf deinem Computer

2.)Überprüfe, ob du Alle Videoformate abspielen kannst über vlc. Wenn ja kannst du mit Punkt 3 Weitermachen

3.)Ändere in VLC/Einstellungen/Einstellungen/Input den port auf 8080 und ändere die Kommmandozeiloe von VLC.( "vlc --extraintf=http")

 

Du hast doch eine verknüpfung von vlc auf dem desktop. Bei der gehst du mit rechtsklick auf Eigenschaften.

Nun gibst du unter Verknüpfung/Ziel folgendes ein:

C ProgrammeVideoLANVLCvlc.exe --extraintf=http

 

4.)Danach gehe zu Explorer und gebe folgendes ein: "http://127.0.0.1:8080"

Jetzt müsste im Explore ein VLC- Interface zu sehen sein.

5.)Nun muss der Movieplayer eingestellt werden dbox/settings/movieplayer

6.)Hier wird der Port 8080 eingegeben

7.) Die lokale ip-Adresse deines Computer, auf dem VLC läuft, gibst du ein(192.168.x.x)

8.)Danach gibst du den Laufwerksbuchstaben deines dvd-laufwerkes(D

9.)Videorate bleibt 1000 und audiorate auf 192

10.)Jetzt speichere

11.)Starte nun den Movieplayer (VLC muss auch laufen)

12.) Lege eine dvd ins laufwerk

13.) Mit dem gelben Knopf startest du die dvd(Blau für svcd)

14.)Nun müsste nach einer Weile die dvd anlaufen.

15.)Mit dem roten Knopf kannst du den Film beenden

16.)Miit dem gelben knopf wird der film angehalten(Pause/Resume)

 

17.)Um nun eine datei von der Platte zu öffnen, kopierst du die dboxfiles.html (http://www.giggo.de/dbox2/dboxfiles.zip)

in dein vlc/admin ordner

18.)Jetzt startest du vlc neu

19.)Gehe nun zum Explorer und gebe folgendes ein "http://127.0.0.1:8080/admin/dboxfiles.html?dir=C "

 

Bn:Admin

KW:Admin

 

Nun solltest du eine Verzeichnisliste sehen.

Wenn das der Fall ist mache mit 20 weiter

20.)Nun gehst du zu den Movieplayereinstellungen dbox/settings/movieplayer und gibst nun unter Verzeichnis(VLC) dein Filmverzeichnis

auf der Platte ein(c:/filme)

21.)Speichere alles

22.)Und probiers nun aus.

Also bei mir ist das so das eine DVD gut spielt und dann wieder bei einer nur der Ton.

ISt echt blöd an einstellungen kann es nicht liegen ich habe kein Problem mit Aufnahme und auch Filme von der Festplatte via DBox auf den Fernseher zu bekommen läuft alles gut bei fast allen Images.

Nur mit den DVDs ist immer ein Problem wenn ich zum Beispiel verschieden Filme auf der DVD habe gehts nie da ich die auch nicht mit VLC abspielen kann ist verständlich.

Warum aber bei einer DVD die mit VLC abspielbar ist via DBox nichts geht kann ich nicht verstehn.

Hat jemand einen Tip?

 

Jetzt habe ich soviel hin und her probiert das VLC keine DVD mehr abspielt das anzeigenfeld läuft und das Laufwerk arbeitet aber es wird kein Bild angezeigt.

 

beim Fernseher kommt nur der Ton an wenn ich DVD auswähle.

Bei Dateien geht alles einwandfrei.

 

Gibt es jemand bei dem DVD einwandfrei läuft? Dann sende mir doch bitte die VLC Einstellungen
